Some new stuff!!!

Okay...so I'm not that great at updating this, but hopefully y'all are getting the handouts in church. I just wanted to send a reminder out about the Fall Book Frenzy that is taking place at the University School of Nashville from 9am to 3pm tomorrow the 26th of September. Also a good note is that from 2-3pm they have a fill a bag for $5 dollar sale and everything you can stuff in a brown grocery bag will only cost you $5. Take advantage of this great way to get some good reading material for you and the family. Also I wanted to let everyone know that they can check out this website kidsconsignmentsales.com and enter in your location to find the latest consignment sales in your area it even lets you know when the 50% off sales are. Its a good way to be simply cheap and simply prepared for the upcoming holidays! :) Hope all of you are doing well and please email me if you have any good info for our blog! goodwardbargainbonanza@gmail.com

Savings Guru!

So I just read an article that was in the July issue of the local "HER" magazine about a woman named Kelly Hancock. She is local and is quite the money saver. She has a great blog that you can check out. http://www.faithfulprovisions.com will take you there. She got some great local information and tips. She even offers two different classes that you can take from here where she shares her secrets. The classes cost about 15 dollars a person and they are Grocery Shopping 101 and Ultimate Couponing. I am definitely considering taking them. There was a comment from one lady in the article that says she spends only $75 a week, has two kids at home and owes it all to Kelly Hancock. Also, look forward to a cool little back to school kick off savings packet I'm putting together for everyone for Sunday. See you all then and Happy SAVING!!!

Great tips From Sunday's Lesson of Provident Living!

Sister Pyne taught an awesome lesson on Provident Living Sunday June 28th and she was so sweet, she made coupon booklets for everyone and included some great tips for us. Here are the tips she had in case you missed it!
-When buying stuff on line be sure to check these site for special money saving codes and printable coupons retailmenot.com
-For printable coupons visit coupons.com
-Keep up with Kroger and Publix because they do double coupon values everyday on coupons up to a dollar
-If you fill your prescriptions at Kroger you'll 50 points for every prescription if you get 100 points you'll get ten cents off every gallon of gas at a kroger fuel center
-Publix will give free 14 day prescriptions for various antibiotics (you must have a prescription to get it of course)
-If you get the sunday paper you can get one special coupon for Publix's secret item and you'll get that item for one penny!
-And of course don't forget to check this blog for updates and ideas!
Thanks again Sister Pyne!!!!
Okay everyone, sorry it's been a while since the blog has been updated, but I'm really excited about what I have coming up for everyone. Summer is a great time to cash in on free entertainment and good bargains and we've got a bunch of tips for all of you. To start things off though lets cover some "Simply prepared" things we can do. Below is a link to a you tube video of an interesting way to store your food storage. It's great for all of those who don't have much space.
Hopefully some of you find this helpful and please if you have any other great ideas for food storage that we can include send them our way to goodwardbargainbonanza@gmail.com. Thanks!

EASTER!!!

I don't know how many of you with kids will be in town Easter weekend, but there is a big egg drop on Saturday the 11th in Gallatin. Go to www.bigeggdrop.com you can pre-register so you won't have to stand in the long lines apparently, and it's almost completely free, it will just cost one canned food item per person to get in. It seems like a fun activity and very affordable. I'll be taking my little one, hope to see you there!!!

Updates

Okay, I'm sorry it has taken a while for me to get a new post out there to all of you, but here it is. I've had quite a bit of response and I have lots of new websites for all of you to check out. Happy bargain hunting.
Sister Ostermiller suggests using bargainshopperlady.com they have some good ideas/deals.
We've also had it suggested to go to http://www.clickmycoupon.com/grocery-coupons.htm which has some compiled coupons which is great.
Now Sister Traylor has a whole list for all of you to check out. She has spent a lot of time collecting all these sites and uses them often.
Here are th coupon sites from Alex:
Here are some good sites for moms where you can get formula samples, coupons, etc.
Here is a site Alex suggests and here is what she said about it, "Oh and www.upromise.com is an amazing site as well. You register your bank and credit cards as well as shopper cards. Then when you make every day purchases the companies of the products you are buying give a percentage back to save for you childrens college education. It's a great FREE way to save for college. Family members can also register on your account"
Sister Traylor has also found a site called www.supercook.com where you can apparently enter ingredients that you have at home and it will help you by coming up with recipes that use what you have around the house. This is a great idea. We often have left overs and I'm constantly trying to come up with dishes that will utilize the left overs and still make them seem exciting.
Now for you crafty people out there Sister Sims has suggested that you all go to the craft sites like Michaels.com, Hobbylobby.com and joann.com, all of these places have email newsletters that also send coupons. You will get coupons almost weekly and with Jo-Ann's you can also get signed up to get the mailer which gives you double coupons. It's a great way to save.
I also have to suggest signing up on Redbox.com and you'll get a free rental for joining the mailing list, but you will also get updates on their free codes which occur quite often. It's a great way to see movies or have an affordable stay in date night (and of course if you don't return it in time it will only cost you about $1.09.
Well, all of this information should keep you busy for a while!!! Have fun and happy bargain hunting, and of course if you here of any stellar deals out there send us an email or post a comment! goodwardbargainbonanza@gmail.com

Starting Out

Hey everyone. We have decided that a blog would be a great resource for everyone. This blog's purpose is to help everyone out there find the best deals in town. Please email me when you know of a good deal somewhere like a sale at a grocery store, etc., and I'll post for everyone. Bear with me it's going to take some research to really get this thing going. But to start you all out I have a couple of suggestions. My husband kind of laughs at me, but lately I've been obsessed with getting samples, coupons and free stuff in the mail. I love it because it's a good deal, but it's also almost like Christmas everyday when I go to check our mail. It's a surprise to see what I'm going to get. Today we got a free issue of Parents magazine and a free issue of Family Circle magazine. The website I use most often is http://www.thunderfap.com/ but just a tip, you may want to set up a junk email account for just bargain shopping because you will get quite a bit of junk mail from signing up. I use gmail because it does a great job of sorting your spam mail. Well, this is somewhere to start and I hope this post finds everyone well, please again email me if you have any good ideas to share, I believe this is going to be a great resource for all of us especially in these tight times. If you have something to share email your tips, etc. to goodwardbargainbonanza@gmail.com Thanks!!!! -Alayna
